About Christina Stafford |
I am a seasoned arts professional, beginning with my education in Art History, and then on to a robust career managing and owning galleries, as well as working in real estate.
Throughout, I have involved myself in larger community arts initiatives. I believe that cultivating artists, art, and culture is vital to community identity, builds a sense of resiliency, and contributes beyond measure to the quality of life in general. Toward the end of my first year at the University of California in Santa Cruz, I took an Art History survey class and fell in love. The class was fascinating, and funny, and provided a truly unique way in which to perceive the world in the broadest terms imaginable: through art. That affinity propelled me to graduate Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Art History. I decided to seek a career relating to my educational field, which led me to direct Martin Gallery in Charleston, SC for a total of seven years. I also volunteered to helm the French Quarter Gallery Association as President and was active in the local arts community. During this time I was also bitten by the real estate bug and I bought, renovated, rented, and sold five homes in two years. Returning to California in 2007, I received my CA real estate agent license and assisted my father, Tom Stafford, in launching Stafford Realty in 2013. My love of art, artists, and the people who make beauty possible in our world propels me forward. I am currently completing a Certificate in Arts Management at NYU. My acumen in small business management, marketing, social media outreach, Google Suite, and copywriting are skills I have honed in service to these higher ideals. . I love creative collaboration and meaningfully supporting the arts by working with artists, institutions, and collectors alike. |
