Ana Carolina Pesce-Imlay was born in 1983 in the city of São Paulo, Brazil but lived most of her life on a farm in the countryside of Botucatu.
Influenced by her grandfather who was a designer and illustrator, drawing became a very important part of her life. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design from the University SENAC in São Paulo, Brazil in 2008 and moved to San Francisco where she currently resides, working as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator, but mostly painting.
Ana Carolina is most influenced by Mucha, Monet, Toulouse-Lautrec, Portinari, street artists Os Gemeos, as well as Japanese art and culture.
Her work can be seen hanging at The Progress, Ichi Sushi and Bernal Cutlery in San Francisco, Oxtail Studios in Berkley, Drunken Monkey in Truckee and at Stafford Gallery.
