This is How We BEgan.... |
I first visited Healdsburg in 2010 and immediately thought, "Here. I could have my gallery here."
Many things have transpired since that first visit, and at long last, here we are! Specializing in eclectic, curated collections, we envision a warm, welcoming gallery where nascent and seasoned collectors alike will find the perfect works of art for their home and garden. A place where nationally and internationally established artists can meet emerging talent, and be mutually inspired. I first fell in love with art in the 6th grade, although I was still too young to recognize it. My elementary school went on a field trip to visit the Armand Hammer Collection, which was on tour following the death of the eponymous baking soda magnate. We were guided by docent around paintings by Picasso, Cassatt, Morisot, and Monet, to name a few. A few weeks later, my mother wanted to see the exhibit, where I promptly delivered a convincing version of the docent tour, much to the surprise of everyone.
Quite a few years later, I enrolled at the University of California at Santa Cruz as a declared psychobiology major. Towards the end of my first year, I took an Art History survey class and fell in love for the second time. The class was fascinating, funny and provided a truly unique way in which to perceive the world in the broadest terms imaginable: through art
